Salon SaLu is a small salon, hidden away at the end of the Aspects Arcade in the heart of the beautiful Leura Mall.

Our philosophy is to create a calming environment for all our clients, new and long-standing.

From our contemporary décor to our eclectic choice of music, we are sure you’ll never leave Salon SaLu without having a memorable and relaxing experience. We value your time as much as our own, investing longer appointment times in you to ensure you receive the expert attention and friendly service you want and deserve when it comes to your look.

-About Samara (Sa) and Lucinda (Lu)-

Samara Wakelin is the proud owner of Salon SaLu. A creative hairstylist with almost 15 years’ experience, Samara embodies a vibrant, alternative and considered approach to her work. Born and raised in the Upper Blue Mountains, Samara is in tune with her surroundings and her community, and knows that taking the time to talk with and understand each client individually means providing the experience and outcome you want from a salon. After building her career for over a decade working for others, Samara reached the point where she yearned for more, and in 2023, after careful consideration, set out to open a salon of her own.
Lucinda Cavey joined Samara at the beginning of the journey to build her business from the ground up, bringing the Lu to Salon SaLu. Lucinda commenced her career in 2008 in Newtown, in Sydney’s vibrant inner west. From the beginning, Lucinda cut her teeth on a diverse range of techniques, delivering a holistic method that matched each client’s personal style. Having grown up in Sydney, Lucinda eventually made the move to the Blue Mountains where she has continued to evolve her skills, bringing a refined and personalised look to individually match each client.
